Join the Celebration of 75 Years of Quaker Peace and Justice Work at the UN
QUNO New York is excited to announce that a streaming option is available for anyone who wants to join our upcoming anniversary celebration but is unable to participate in person.
This June, we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of the Quaker United Nations Office (QUNO) in New York. Since its inception, QUNO has worked with diplomats, UN officials, and community members to implement the original vision of peace and human rights enshrined in the United Nations’ Charter. Our commitment to lifting up diverse perspectives, insights, and concerns has led Quakers to be seen as trusted partners who create the space for new and creative solutions in response to global challenges.
Please join us for an evening of celebration of QUNO New York’s role as an ambassador for peace. This fundraising event will be held on 9 June at Scandinavia House in New York City. The reception and seated program will include special guest speaker, Ambassador Olof Skoog, Head of the European Union Delegation to the United Nations, and musical performances by students from Brooklyn Friends School. For those unable to join in person, please consider joining us virtually by streaming the event.
