QUNO’s peace and disarmament programme made a statement at the 47th session of the UN Human Rights Council during the panel discussion on the 10th anniversary of the Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.

The statement called for more attention to be placed on the Guiding Principles’ relevance and applicability to the defence sector, which has yet to be an area of focus. QUNO also congratulated the Working Group on their efforts to promote the effective dissemination and implementation of the Guiding Principles by transnational corporations and other business enterprises with regards to conflict and post-conflict contexts – work which culminated in a report in 2020.
